The 2017 Takeuchi TB280FR is an 8-metric-ton compact hydraulic mini excavator specifically engineered for ultra-confined job sites. The "FR" designation stands for Full Rotation, which highlights the machine's patented Side-to-Side (STS) offset boom configuration. When the boom is stowed in its full upright center position, the excavator can perform a full 360-degree house rotation nearly within the width of its own tracks, acting with the space requirements of a much smaller 5-ton machine.
